24 weeks!!!

Today was my 24 week appointment and the only downside (if there is one) to having a healthy mommy and baby is that there really is nothing to report.  Everything looks great, I was hoping to get more pictures but it seems as if I wont be getting anymore until Cooper is born so Ill just have to deal.  In 4 weeks I have my glucose test so they sent home the orange sugary drink (which i happen to like) and hopefully all will be well with those tests.  THEN, the doctor mentioned how that was my last 4 week appointment, meaning Ill  be in my 3rd trimester and start going every 2 weeks! Im sure i knew this, but it was a big eyeopener when he said it! I feel like time has totally flown and before you know it, Ill be going every week and Cooper will be here! CRAZY! My belly has grown quite a bit these psat four weeks and I have been getting alot of comment about how I FINALLY look pregnant, yipee! Here is a picture to show you:

24 weeks

So, Im happy to report great news! Many people have asked so to inform you all, Copper will be going into what is now J's jungle room and J will get a new sports room! We plan on moving J right after Christmas so Ill be sure to post pictures then.

Welcoming our little boy!

Today was our 20 week ultrasound (finally)!  It was scheduled in Austin at 3:30 so we left right after school and booked it to get there. We got there about 8 minutes early and had to fill out new patient paperwork. Then, after all that rushing, we waited and waited and waited!!! We sat there for 45 minutes!! Seriously people!?  It wouldn't have been as big of a problem but we were having our Kindergarten show and I had to be back at school by 6.  Anyway, the ultrasound was very cool!  It was a little different than with J and we got 9 pictures!  The tech even did 3D pics for his face and burned all of the pictures onto a cd with no extra cost! For J we paid $150 for the 3D ultrasound and cd....crazy!  He was moving so much it was funny. The tech would get set on something and he would move into a different position. As you notice, I keep saying "he" because it is definitely a little boy!
This is as if he is sitting on glass and you are looking underneath.  His legs are open and the hand is pointing right to the proof that its a boy!
Everything looks just wonderful with him!  The heart is looking great, he's got all 10 fingers and toes, he's measuring right on time.  He's weighs almost a pound. We are so thankful to have another healthy baby!  We even got a picture of his cute little feet. (well, the tech did comment on how big is big toe was)
Sweet feet, even if they are big!

So here is the funny thing...when we got J's 3D ultrasound, he was doing the longhorn symbol with his hand ( of course, J couldn't be more of an Aggie now if he tried).  This sweet angel is a true Aggie and gave us the good 'ole gig 'em thumbs up!
Such a good Aggie!
Oh, and it wasn't a fluke because he actually did this 2 different times! =)I realize you can't see the face good in that one because the umbilical cord was in the way so here is a good one of his face.
He wouldn't be complete without that Moseley nose!
Now, when I saw these, I thought they looked a lot like J's 3D pics but if you go back and look at J's blog, there are similarities but he looks pretty different to me.  J's nose was big too but shaped different and J's upper lip was bigger and stuck out.  Now, this is all just pictures, I can't wait to see them together in person!

I guess now is the time you all have been waiting for...we have officially chosen a name!  We welcome to this world......(drum roll please).....Cooper Cannon Moseley!!!  ( awww, thats the first time I've typed it; it looks good!) For those of you who don't know, Cannon is my maiden name and we thought it was fitting for this angel to have some family name in there and it was just perfect.  As soon as we picked up J , we showed him the pictures and told him his brother's name was Cooper and it sounded so cute coming form him.  It's also cute because since then he has called him "Super" Moseley twice, haha!  I didn't get a picture of J with Cooper's pictures but will do asap to get that on here.

I think the best part was how excited James gets!  We all know he is a very enthusiastic guy and so involved with J and now Cooper too so that's great but nothing compares to his reactions to ultrasounds and the excitement he displays when seeing our sweet baby!

I go back to the doctor in 3 weeks and I'll be sure to get a belly pic update then.  Thanks for reading and for all of your great thoughts and prayers.  We are truly blessed and can't wait to meet this 2nd miracle!

What a Bummer...

I went in for my 20 week checkup today and was excited to get my in depth ultrasound.  Every time we have been for a checkup, we go right back and are in and out within 30-45 minutes.  Today, that was not the case! First, we waited for 30 minutes before even going back.  At J's doctor's office, their ultrasound tech and machine were in their office.  Here we have to go to a specialized place in north Austin.  We found out our doctor has to fax the request in first and then we have to call and make an appointment for the ultrasound.  So, Ill call tomorrow and hope we can get in soon!  Then, I was thinking, thats ok because we always get an ultrasound from my doctor so at least we'd get that...again, bummer! It was so busy today and my doctor's partner was using it so he just checked the heartbeat and measured my belly (im right around 20-21 weeks) and that was it.  =(

With all that complaining said, we are happy that everything is ok with me and the baby! I have only gained 6 lbs. and I have no problems, so yay!  The baby is moving like crazy now and while we were waiting in the room for the doctor,  James could actually see my belly flinching so that was cool! Im convinced within the next few days, he will really be able to feel it too!

On another happy note, J is officially "peepee" potty trained!! woooo hoo! He hasnt had an accident since we started 11 days ago. However, he refuses to poopoo in the potty.  He doenst have an accident, he just wont go until the middle of the night in his diaper so thats no fun but we'll get there.  He is taking naps without a diaper too! CRAZY! AND, this morning he woke up(30 minutes early) and started yelling, "mommy, i need to pee pee in the potty!!!" so i got up and took him and his diaper was completely dry!!! It was really funny too because he would stop and think he was done and then start again and it was like he was scared or something that it wouldnt stop, haha too funny!  ANyway, I think he's preparing to be a big brother!!!

So, hopefully soon, Ill have the official word on if we are having a boy or girl and get all that details to be sure the baby is ok.  I've added my 20 week belly pic since I have nothing else right now.

Sweet Tooth!

So this baby has a serious sweet tooth! I actually crave salty food more that sweet but tonight I had some chocolate and within 10 minutes the baby was kickin away!!  I've been able to feel it for a week or so now but just here and there.  This time the kicks were very strong and continuous for about 10 minutes. CRAZY!! I  go for my 20 week appointment next Tuesday and we are very excited to get a detailed ultrasound. We will get conformation that it's a boy (or maybe not) and also get a review of all the body parts and organs to make sure everything is ok.  I'm in a weird place as far as clothes go...my regular clothes are a big snug but my maternity clothes are a bit too big so I'm ready to get a little bigger (since I know I cant get smaller at this point ).  I added a belly pic since I figure in my next post I'll be posting pics of the baby.  It doesnt look as big as it feels but it's there!  Look for my update next week!

Growing Growing Gone

Well, I know it's only been a week since my last post but I've got some big news!  First, I have officially switched to maternity pants...even in the last week I've grown so I still fit into a few of my capris but the jeans are just not comfy anymore.  Also, the best news, I can just start to feel him move!  It's usually in the evening once I've settled down and am watching tv.  I love being able to feel him, it makes it all more real.  Now I'm excited to actually see him move too!  As far as names go, still no luck.  There are a few contenders but since we have plenty of time, we still haven't decided.  We are going to look through some more options and see what we can find. Wish us luck....!  So, I know it's not much but I thought it was post worthy and I knew I'd forget by my next post.  I'll probably post a pic or two in a week or so since I seem to be growing quite rapidly.

16 Weeks:The verdict is...

Today we went to our 16 week apppointment. Time seems to be flying by much faster than with J. I guess since I've already done this and I have J to keep me occupied, I don't just sit around and dream about what it would be like to have a baby. It's crazy that in just 4 short weeks we will know if we are having a boy or girl...or so we thought.

So, we got the the doctors office about 15 minutes early and they were ready for us so we went right back! Up until now I havent gained any weight but in the last month I've gained 4 pounds. All the websites say its about a pound a week so sounds like I'm right on schedule. I got another ultrasound too! James was able to come so he got to see too! Our doctor LOVES to use the machine and play with the settings so even though we get the full detailed one at 20 weeks, he wanted to measure the baby for fun, which of course was totally fine with us!

So as you know, 4 weeks ago, he had suspicions of a boy so thats where he went to right away this time! The baby is positioned in an interesting way so we weren't able to get a good side profile view but the private area was perfectly clear! IT'S A BOY! When you look at the picture, its a view from the underside. THe round part is his hiney and you can see the legs sticking out and as you can clearly see...there is "something" sticking out right between the legs, haha! The doctor said we was 99% sure and even wrote it in our chart so I take that as pretty darn offical. He also measured the femur, head, and stomach and all are either 16 or 17 weeks so he's right on track! I don't have the exact heartbeat count but the doc did say it was slower than last time but not in a bad way.

We are just thrilled! I know I said I wanted a girl, and I'd still like one but that doesnt mean that I'm not elated to have another sweet boy! We don't have a name yet...that's going to be a serious process since James and I cant agree but we will pick one eventually. Im excited to see if this boy is built like J, looks like J, acts like J or is completely different. I did post a cool picture of the face...it's perfect timing fo rHalloween because it looks a little scary! You can see the eye sockets and mouth smiling.

I also just started to grow in the belly area as well. Ive posted a picture from 10 weeks and then one from now for you to see. I have all my preggo clothes out of the attic and they just need to be washed, so for the time being Im doing the whole rubberband trick for the pants =)

We are all doing just great! I havent told my students or their parents yet because I was waiting until I started showing but I think I will be making my announcement in the next week or so. Well, thanks for reading and Ill update if anything interesting happens before the next appointment!

12 Weeks...1st Trimester Done, Yippee!!!

We made it through the first trimester! Although it wasn't too bad really, it was worse than with J so I'm glad it's over. I had my checkup today and everything looks perfect! I didn't gain any weight, go me! My blood pressure was perfect and the baby was wiggling around like crazy in there!
When we made the appointment, we didn't know James would have orientation so he wasn't about to go but we did get some pictures and the nurse said we could do another ultrasound next time for him! Crazy! I don't remember getting an ultrasound everytime with J! Anyway, the baby is measuring at 13 weeks and I am supposedly at 12 but hey, I told the doctor a week early would be great since that'll be spring break! The heartbeat slowed significantly from the 160s to the 130s! Cissy claims that to be a boy and the doctor said not to start painting anything but he has suspicions of a boy. At one point he did change his mind to a girl but still suspects a boy. It's still so early and we won't really get a good picture for 8 more weeks so I guess I'll have to wait until then to really know anything.
My nausea and tiredness is all gone and I'm feeling great! I found out they have an awesome rewards program at HEB pharmacy, I paid $5 to join and ALL my prenatal vitamins are now FREE! The doctor said the vitamins they have are really good ones too so yay! My belly seems to have grown a little but I can mainly only tell at night. The weirdest thing about it is my belly button is already starting to poke out!! Since things seems to be stretching at a faster rate, I'm religously lathering on Cocoa Butter...which smells heavenly anyways.
I guess thats really it for now. I did post a 12 week picture of the baby. Enjoy!

Our 1st Apppointment

So, right after we found out, I started feeling the extreme tiredness! Everyday between lunch and dinner I HAD to take a nap, I was just exhausted, even if I hadn't done much. Then, we went to Vegas which, surprisingly, I wasnt as tired as before! We walked all over the place and stayed up late, slept in and did it all over again for 4 days. I was happy to not be tired but the nausea kicked in, BOO! I wasnt tired or sick with J at all so this was all new to me! I wasn't throwin up but EVRYTHING I ate made me feel sick. Of course this was not so pleasant but since we were in Vegas and has so much to see and do, I think it helped keep my mind off my stomach. Now we can tell this baby that they've been to Vegas, haha. The week after we came back from Vegas we had our first appointment. We are using a new doctor because J's doctor is in downtown Austin and for appointments and any emergency or when the big day arrives, we just feel it is too far so, we LOVED Dr.Grogono and Seton hospital but this little one will have to experience something new =) We visited the Cedar Park hosiptal and go a FABULOUS first impression! Everyone was so nice and a nurse even came out, answered our questions, gave us a tour and recommended some doctors for us. Her number one choice was an easy pick for us because in addition to having a great reccomendation from the nurse, Dr.Hinds and his partner are both Aggies! WHOOP!

I was anxious for our first appointment for many reasons. Although I had been having symptoms, I was still nervous the $1 Dollar Tree tests could be wrong. I also had been having some back pain (which of course I didnt have with J) so that made me worry and since my dad and cousins are both twins, I was very worried about there being 2 or more babies in there! I know twins are cute as can be but Ill just cuddle, squeeze, kiss and then give back other peoples twins =).

Our first appointment went great! We really Love Dr.Hinds already and his nurses and facility. There is only 1 baby in there ( hallelujah!) and we got to see it and hear its heartbeat!I didnt realized we'd already get pictures but we did so I've posted them! The baby was actually wiggling around too which just amazed us. Dr.Hinda said he loves to see that because it significantly lowers the risk of a miscarriage too! The baby's heartbeat was around 160 then, so Cissy tell us if thats a boy or girl, lol.

Since then, Ive been feeling great! My nausea has calmed down tremendously and Im not nearly as tired. I do have some picky cravings. I tend to want salty, unfried stuff like cheese and crackers or grilled cheese from Sonic...mmm! There are times where I just feel like gummy bears or just specific things like that but Ive been feeling great so yay! Im not starting to show yet but I am starting feel a slight difference in my pants, which is much earlier than last time...=(

I did take a 10 wk. pic because I felt like I should but there really isnt anything to show so ill jsut keep it until I have more to show and then post both to see the difference =) Thats it for now! Im finally caught up. I go back to Dr.Hinds in 2 weeks and we will get more pictures and info too! Its really hard to remember things I learned last time like foods to stay away from or things to do or not do but Im slowly find things online and saying, "Oh yeah..."

J seems to know there is a baby in mommy's tummy and he's going to be a big brother but I dont think he truly realizes what that menas yet. Everyday is different as to whether he wants a brother or sister but one day he did tell me "I was a sister...like Kayleigh. I like Kayleigh!" (she's his cousin, for those of you who dont know) I thought that was soo special!

Well, thats all the news for now! Ill post if anything else exciting happens!

The Big Reveal

As excited as we were, we had a dilemma! We had to decide how to tell our families! We wanted to do something fun like we did with J but knew if we got everyone together at once they'd suspect something so we had to be creative. The big problem was, we didn't want to steal Katie and David's thunder AND we were leaving for Vegas in a week! Therefore, if we waited until we got back from Vegas, we would have to keep it a secret for almost 3 weeks!!! Do you know how hard that is!?!? So, while we continued to think of ways to tell our families, we decided to tell some close friends in town that we knew wouldn't cross our families paths anyway. Finally, we figured out how to reveal the big news! For my side, my Dad is working in El Paso so we knew we'd just have to call him. But for my mom, we were meeting her, my Aunt, Pete, and my cousins in Dallas before we flew out to Vegas so when we went to dinner, we had the waiter bring a dessert to me and he said, "A little birdie told me there was an expecting mother here." My mom was sitting right next to me and I think she thought it was a mistake! The restaurant was really loud so unfortunately, not everyone heard him but my mom relayed the message to everyone and I confirmed the great news! Everyone was very excited! The funny thing was, it was getting late and Chip and Chrissy had to get Jack home to bed so we tried so hard to stall them but they just barely missed it.We filled them in at Gloria's thought so no worries.

We had to wait until after Vegas to tell James' family because we just had no more time. When we got back from Vegas, we were going to Houston for 2 days for a churhc meeting and then Galveston for 2 days to hang out with James' family. Therefore, we planned a cute reveal to happen while everyone was together in Galveston. The problem with this plan was, we didn't know at first but Bill was not staying in galveston because he had to work. there was no way we were going to do this without him so we had to resort to plan C...which was not created until that Saturday night on the way to Mike and Anne's from church. As we were all sitting in Mike and Anne's living room talking late at night, like we always do, James waited for a lull in the conversation and then just piped up and said, Oh by the way, Heather's pregnant. No one believed us!! It was pretty funny actually! It took us several minutes to convince them that the news was true and even after much celebration I think some people were still skeptical. haha.

So, even though neither plan went perfectly as planned, both families were, of course, thrilled to add a new bundle of joy to the family. We were then able to call and tell the news to other friends and family and finally after my first appointment, we release the news on Facebook! It was tehn "official." We appreciate all of the support and sweet messages from friends and family!

I think this is a great place to stop for now and I will continue about how I've been feeling and our first appointment (with pics) in the next post. Hopefully I wont take so long to get that up so I can finally be caught up to real time!

This is Where it all Began...

Thanks for reading our blog! We hope to keep this one updated as much as we did with J's. I know already that it will be harder because I am just now getting around to starting this one. I thought that I was just about 10 weeks but as my cute little ticker says right at this moment, I am closer to 9 (but whose counting). I am due March 21st and I actually have 2 friends due in March too! What a special month it will be.

So onto the details, DISCLAIMER: I will try not to go into too much detail as I know most of you will think TMI. There may be some info you could care less about but I feel it is important to the story to just block it out =)

James and I assumed it would take us a lot longer to get pregnant this time because with J it happened right away. We felt that there was no way we could be so lucky and blessed for that to happen again but...God is good and here we are again! We wanted to try to plan it for the end of the school year again so that I could possibly just miss the rest of the year and not be out any money. We figured that we had the summer months through about Aug./Sept. to try and then we would wait a little bit so that I wouldnt have to miss the very beginning of the next school year. So with that in mind, we really just stopped preventing more than trying.

Around the beginning of July, I started to "feel" like I might be pregnant. I can't really describe the feelings but i know, I didnt know this well with J and if you have had more than one child, youll understand what I mean. I didnt have symptoms really...just felt pregnant. I did feel kind of silly and was afraid to get my hopes up since I knew it had only been a few weeks of "non-preventing" so I didnt even tell James. I then tried to see if by dates, it was even possible. The problem was, since we really weren't trying, I honestly couldnt remember my "time of the month" dates! I did have it narrowed down to 2 or 3 weeks(crazy i know!) and so that didnt help at all.

Then, on July 19, Katie, James' sister, got engaged (to an AWESOME guy I might add) and we were all overwhelmed with joy. I still felt pregnant however there was an added symptom that I had with J and that was sore "ta-ta's" (trying not to get too graphic here) So the next day I decided to tell James. He was shocked and thrilled and wanted to get a test right away. I wanted to to wait because I figured I should be "starting" either that week or next and tests are RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE. James suggested that we get a test from the Dollar Tree..where everything truly is only a dollar. I looked at him like he was crazy and said Id NEVER trust those things! (raise your hand if you think or use to think the same thing....yeah, thats what I thought!) So, James did some research online and showed me several people that confirm how accurate they are. One sight had 150 posts about them and only 2 were negative and those were from people that hadnt tried them...just speculation. So, he twisted my arm and on Thursday we went to Dollar Tree. We picked up 2 tests and did one when we got home. It immediately and very clearly showed positive. Now, among all this research James did, he also found that it is sometimes normal to get a false negative but VERY uncommon to get a false positive because the pregnancy hormone has to be present enough for it to show positive. So with excitement (and still a little unsurety from me) we celebrated! I did take the other test the next day and we got the same results. It all still didnt seem quite real but nonetheless, we were overjoyed.

I think Ill stop here for now, as this is quite lengthy and continue with how we told our families in the next "episode." Hope you enjoyed and feel free to comment...BTW, if you have a blog youll understand, the more comments I get, the more I want to post b/c I can see that people are reading =)
